Qi601™ Biofilm Shield™ Probiomic®, Your Daily Defense from Microplastics
Estimated delivery between August 25 and August 27.
Every day, you are exposed to microplastics—in the air you breathe, the food you eat, and the water you drink.
On average, you ingest about 250 grams of microplastics each year. These particles can accumulate silently in your gut, bloodstream, brain, and even breast milk—and they simply don’t belong there.
Qi601 uses proprietary and patented Biofilm Shield™ technology to help address this problem. Derived from a unique probiotic strain, Qi601 naturally forms a super-adherent biofilm that attracts and binds microplastics—a nature-inspired solution to a man-made problem, supported by 12 years of laboratory research.
While the full health effects of microplastics in the body remain uncertain, one thing is clear: they don’t belong in you.
In laboratory studies with human gastrointestinal cell cultures, Qi601 reduced microplastic particle adherence to intestinal epithelial cells by up to 83% compared to untreated controls. It’s more than detox—it’s about a better life, a cleaner life.

Qi601 is a novel, non-living, orally administered product derived from proprietary GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) approved Lactobacillus fermentum, Qi6, and issued a GRN number 0988. It is a unique probiotic strain discovered by Quorum Innovations. Qi6 was is made with biofilm-inducing conditions to promote natural self-aggregation into high-surface-area macrostructures. This process yields a large, particulate “Biofilm Shield™” approximately 200 micrometers in diameter—a size that exceeds the threshold for gastrointestinal absorption. Functionally, Qi601 is a biofilm, is very sticky and designed to bind and sequester both microplastic and nanoplastic particles. Quorum Innovations research show that with fluorescence microscopy laboratory studies demonstrate its selective binding capacity, with plastic particles adhering preferentially to Qi601 aggregates while avoiding human colonic epithelial cells (CaCO₂ line) in the laboratory. Qi601 offers a potential strategy to provide barrier protection. The bacterial strain from which Qi601 is derived has been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and designated Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) under GRN No. 00988. In sum, Qi601 represents an innovative, scientifically studied, bio-inspired initiative to bind micro and nanoplastics.
